FRANCE CAN DO IT, DUBYA

Picture caption: What should I do? Please click on the header FRANCE SENDING ILLEGALS HOME Posted Jun 11th 2007 9:27AM by Dinesh D'SouzaFiled under: Breaking News, George Bush, Illegal Immigration Acting under the direction of President Sarkozy, France's immigration minister has set tough new goals for arresting and deporting illegal immigrants. Sarkozy isn't anti-immigrant, but he campaigned on the need to control the flow of immigrants into France and to make sure that they were integrated into French society. France intends to arrest at least 125,000 people this year for illegally entering the country. It wants to deport 25,000 illegals each year. Immigration minister Francois Fillon calmly says, "The French Republic will be extremely firm. It will ensure laws are applied. Naturaly the laws will be applied with the greatest humanity." Can America learn from France? It wouldn't be the first time. Many Americans seem to have lost sight of the simple core principle of the rule of law. We say things like, "But they're such nice people" or "There's work for them to do here" or "Their motives for coming were good." All true, but irrelevant. Laws are made to be obeyed, and the problem with illegal immigration is that it is illegal. That's why many Americans are upset at the current amnesty plan that is being pushed by President Bush, Senator Kennedy and others. It seems to look the other way on breaking the law, while pretending to be tough. Before we figure out what to do with illegals who are here, we have to figure out a way to stop the inflow of new illegals. If France can find the backbone, surely we can too. Mr. President Bush Sir, when do you and your advisors start listening to American citizens? Do we ask too much when we want our laws obeyed by anyone visiting our country? It seems you think you have the right to inflict our laws on foreign countries (like Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc., etc.) no matter what they might want to do. But if all these laws of ours aren't going to be recognized right here in the U.S.A., where do we get off telling other cultures how they must live, what laws they must obey? Please explain this to me so I understand and I will back you 100%. But not as things stand now. Herewith my application to become an illegal alien: Application to become an illegal alien (Courtesy of the Peter Boyles Show -- KHOW 630 AM -- Denver) Dear Elected Official, As a native New Mexican and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you. My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005. Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year. Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son. Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car. If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance. Your Loyal Constituent, (and hopefully an illegal one)

Well said Cat. HEAR! HEAR!

They are building that wall thing you know, too, which will give the illegal aliens something to do while they wait on their paperwork, and stuff, you know...

I just followed the link, and want to take back my other comment. I am shocked. I'm just blown away by these statistics. How in the world do illegal aliens even qualify for the food stamp program, when I see people, older americans, and young mothers, working, barely surviving, who are denied over and over because they earn .50 over the limit? These people do not even have a social security number? How does it work? What about the freaking homeland security? What are they doing besides driving the citizens of this country crazy by making it harder and harder to prove we are who we are? Somebody help me out here. A wonderful post, one everyone should read.

Thanks moose. I know Canada also has its problems. I wonder if our two dicta-, er, presidents (prime minister) could get together?

Just me some bad news.
Today it has been reported that an illegal, who has been repeatedly raping a young child (6 years old now) for 3 years, has killed three other children. He is reportedly a member of a gang from Mexico.
Re SS numbers, there is a huge black market for stolen numbers. The same is true for driver's licenses.
Homeland Security seems to be more worried about spying on you and me and all of us Americans (and Canadians).
Social Security has so many holes in it for doling out money for purposes other than what it was intended for, it's a miracle there's anything at all left in it.
It's time to ask our representatives to vote for Americans.

We have our share of immigration problems, too, but not the vast numbers you have in the US. Our government has invited Mexicans to come here and work - no papers required - as long as they go back home again when the job is done. DUH!

The three leaders (Harper, Bush, and Mexico) are meeting this week in Quebec to discuss forming some kind of North American Association. Curious to know what THAT'S all about. Do you know Moose?

Guys like the Gang member should just be shot whether they are legal or illegal. Anybody who would do that to a child does not deserve to breathe

OK moose, thought I'd tell you.

Yes, moose, I agree. I removed your post so I could experiment with answering directly to a comment. Darn thing is showing "this post removed by blog administrator". (Love that title!) I thought I might be able to keep things in better order, but it didn't work.

Watch out they don't abduct you, Cat, and probe you. haha

You couldn't get my photo? That's because I changed it so any of the comments with my old photo will have a red x. And while we're on the subject where's your photo and you too Moose?

Eeek. No probes. My proctologist would get jealous. I'm not sure how to get a photo on my resume. Guess I'll have to try again.

Wouldn't that be nice. Only problem is the bleeding heart liberals who think we owe everyone a life of luxury for doing nothing.

I've figured how to get rid of the old post, but not how to change the type face.
As for liberal thinking, it has always struck me as a form of true communist thinking. "To each according to his needs, the rest of you supply them with what they need."

Babzy, for whatever reasons, your gov and ours wants legal citizens wages kept down. It seems a deliberate attempt to destroy the middle class and create a two class society.
I'm wondering if we'll get any truth from the tripartite meeting, or if they'll keep any resolutions quiet until it's too late for us to stop them.

It will be too late to stop them.

If you want a photo on your profile you need to start a new post. Insert a photo of yourself or whatever just like you do in a regular post. Go to the HTML window and copy the url of the photo. Will start with http and end with jpg. There may be two of these URL's for one photo. Pick the second one. The first one doesn't work.

Once you've copied the URL, go to your dashboard or to your profile screen and click onto "Edit Profile" It will take you to another screen. Scroll halfway down and see a place where you can paste the URL. Save it and it should show up. If not try again. Maybe the url wasn't copied properly.

This is also in Blogger Help, of course.

That's right. Demand another post when I've just slaved over one. Seriously, thanks again Babvzy.

Babzy& Cat:he meeting was to see how to bring other countries with whom we have Free trade into the same framework as NAFTA

Catmoves said...

Oh, geeze moose. Can't the Prime Minister see what NAFTA and Reagan's other alphabet soups have cost the U.S? Fight it with tooth and nail, although I think it has already been okayed by your Parliament.
Do you suppose they just want to spread the misery to what's left of our friends?

alphonsedamoose said...

Cat: In some respects NAFTA has been good for us but bad for you. Sometimes the other way around. Biggest problem is neither side has respect for the other when it comes to trade. We all got along much better before NAFTA. Bush certainly has no use for it.

Catmoves said...

NAFTA and CAFTA and all the rest of that alphabet soup have consistently worked against the best interests of the U.S. It's nice to be loved by other countries, but when administration after administration seems to work hard to make us hated, it's got to be time to get rid of those programs. I can remember when, before them, we seemed to have a pretty good trade relationship with Canada. And Mexico. Weird, huh?
