HILLARY SPEAKS, TIM GRILLS

Yeah, I know. Anyone can have ridiculous and painful pictures taken in an instant.
But Hillary Clinton showed up on Tim Russert's Meet The Press show this a.m.
(I really hate that they have an ugly logo on the base of the screen, when the entire back wall is plastered with the name of the show.)
The word "overkill" comes to mind.
You can visit MTP by clicking the header.
.
I have been trying to avoid saying very much about the Dumocrat candidates. With one exception, that is.
But something really stood out in this interview. I should have counted, but, as usual, the idea came to me half way through the interview.
.
Now, without looking back, how many times has the word "I" been used in this post?
It is realised here, that a blog is a very personal thing and one should be allowed certain leeway. It's our contribution to the egotism pool after all.
.
If you watch that video, you can count the "I's". And then reflect on this: You have to have an enormous ego to even consider running for President. (As well as enormous money for the campaign. But that's another post.) If that were the only consideration, I think Hill would get the nod from the populace.
.
But, after Hillary's (some say faked) breakdown into tears on national television in front of God and all, the thought occurred to me about the Russian ICBMs being shipped into Cuba and what JFK did about it. The pressures on him were enormous. World War III was on the brink of breaking out if he did not handle it correctly. He was a combat warrior who had his PT boat shot out from under him and knew what war was all about. Whether you liked him or not, you had to admire the way he handled the situation.
Hillary, on the other hand, is as blind as Dubya about real war. Neither she nor her husband have ever experienced it up close and ugly.
I got thinking about what if she had been President then? Would she have broken down into tears in the War Room? On television? In the Oval Office?
Any possible chance of my voting for her disappeared with that episode.
Menopause is a bitch.
.
One final thing (for now, anyway) was her non reaction when her Hubby said that oral sex isn't real sex.
I tried telling that to a young lady after the Clinton episode. You can use your imagination about what she told me.

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That picture is TERRIFYING!
I might make a copy of it to hang in my basement to scare the mice away!!!!

She lies as well as Bill did.

Yes, Towanda, it is. But imagine going down to the basement, turning on the light and seeing that expression.
Better a cat for your mice.

Moose, she's a corker. Somehow, she has managed to blow smoke in New York state. Or maybe their school system is worse than I thought.
P.S. I'm on my way to your site. There'd better be a new post or I'll tell on you.

Hillary Clinton

*rolls eyes*

If that cold cunning bag had been taking care of Bill he wouldn't have been resorting to blow jobs.

At least that is what I like to think.

Our next preznut is just going to be one of the next rich big nuts that have worked their way to the top of the pile.

Bubba redefined a lot of things, didn't he?

How're ya going', mate? I've been crook but I'm back in Blogland (kind of).....

Cat, I said something similar to another blog friend recently "She'll have old Putin eating out of her hand when she turns on those tears ... you bet, unh-huh." I don't recall Maggie Thatcher playing that card, ever.

I can't believe I'm writing this... but here I am.

I actually feel a little compassion for/towards Mrs. Clinton. I can't remember another candidate... or political figure (with the notable exception of Dubya and all the BDS)... in my lifetime who's been beaten up this often and this badly.

I'm thinking all this Hill-Bashing, while fun, just might be counter-productive. Think "sympathy vote." There's a certain demographic in America... and not an inconsequential one, at that... that would be subject to just such a response. Present company excepted, of course.

Just sayin'.

Cat: She's a corker alright. My oldest daughter wrote to her one time about the NAFTA and was told "Hilary does NOT comment to people who live outside her state".

bbc, I know your right, but I just find it hard to believe that our founding fathers really meant for us to be bombarded with millions (maybe trillions?) of bucks with false and/or misleading advertising paid for by gigantic conglomerates who have axes to grind.
One thing that might help would be to put a cap on the amount that could be spent by any candidate and party and any ads paid for with private funds must carry the full name of any company or individual involved in this.
Yeah, I must be living in a dream world, too.

Hello mate. I've been reading about your travels. Guess I should have warned you that after getting used to bangers and, Indian curry would eat you up. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Catmoves said...

Lin, for some reason I think Putin would eat that hand all the way up to and including her throat. I just can't imagine her standing up to the power leaders of many countries.
It's beginning to look like Dubya is going to get us into trouble in the Promised Land, too. Israel has no desire to give up their hard protective land barriers the gained by shedding their blood.
So he'll leave that for the next Prez, and that one better be strong.
P.S. Maggie probably did her crying like Winston. Alone and in privacy.

Catmoves said...

Buck, thank you for the comment.
I understand the sympathy vote. It's part of the unreal aspect of our elections.
But, I've also looked at some of the blogs that are for her and I have to wonder where she learned to walk on water?
And from your writing, I know you are too intelligent to get sucked into that maelstrom.
Just sayin', too.

Moose, I always thought part of NY state was attached to Canada?
I wonder if she put that order out, or her advisor did?
Either way, it's disgusting to me. What's the big deal, I wonder?
NAFTA has always been a sore point with me. Her hubby backed up our B movie Prez on that one.

Whoever becomes president is going to have their hands full trying to dig America out of the predicted recession.

I think Hillary's tears were contrived. She's not a crier normally but some press agent must have convinced her to show some sensitivity.

It's gotta be tough being any woman in her position. If she hides her emotions she is cold and unfeeling. If she's the slightest bit emotional she is labeled weak and menopausal (you bad kitty for saying that).

I haven't been following your politics and campaigns closely but if I could choose someone I would pick Hillary for Pres.

The idea of Hillary Clinton becoming president scares the bejesus out of me, pardon moi Francaise....just the fact that she turned her back on the state of Arkansas and moved her sorry ass to New York to run for Senate was unforgivable in my eyes. It said a lot about her character.

Bobby Kennedy saved us from the Bay of Pigs fiasco. JFK got us in a heep of trouble, but he didn't back down. He didn't blink. Hillary would blink.

Great post.

Babzy, I have a real problem with the Hillary. We've had empire building here Bush, Clinton, Bush...now another Clinton? I hope not. As for her contrived tears, I would find it too difficult to vote for any one who tried to play on my emotions. A fraud, dear Babzy, is a fraud.
It isn't a case of hiding one's emotions. It's a case of secreting them and not using cheap theatrics to gain the most important position in the U.S.

I hear that Just Me. Somehow, I think the Democratic machine has a better hold on NY than in Arkansas. Smarts alone don't make her eligible for the big job.
Thanks for the praise.
